2023 Michelangelo Highlights for Du Toitskloof Wines

At the 27th Annual Michelangelo International Wine and Spirits Awards that took place on the 4th of September 2023, Du Toitskloof was awarded 4 Double Gold and 3 Gold medals. The iconic and established retail brand once again showed how their commitment to quality remains consistent at any given price bracket in the market.

Du Toitskloof Merlot was awarded a Double Gold medal for the second consecutive year. The 2021 vintage was released a few months ago and remains Du Toitskloof's best-selling single variety red wine. Merlot's big brother; Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 was also awarded Double Gold as was Du Toitskloof Pinotage 2020. Last mentioned red in Du Toitskloof's Heritage range was awarded 92 points at the Trophy Wine Show earlier this year showcasing top quality in their red varietals again.

Another Double Gold medal was awarded to Du Toitskloof Old Vine Sauvignon Blanc 2022, a wine made from certified heritage vines planted in 1985. Du Toitskloof is a proud member of the Old Vine Project and already in this wine's third vintage (2022), the wine was just recently named as one of Winemag.co.za's Top 10 Sauvignon Blanc wines with 94pts - Breedekloof Sauvignon Blanc made at its best.

Du Toitskloof Chenin Blanc 2023, Pinotage Rosé 2023 and Dimension 2018 were all awarded Gold medals. A worthy achievement for this winery "annerkant-die-berg".
