Two Sauvignon Blanc Trophies for Land's End Cape Agulhas Sauvignon Blanc 2021

We're celebrating International Sauvignon Blanc Day by releasing our new 2021 Land's End Cape Agulhas Sauvignon Blanc. This Agulhas Wine Triangle Sauvignon Blanc has already been awarded two Sauvignon Blanc Trophies (locally and internationally) and like its iconic beacon along the shores of Cape Agulhas, the accolades shine light on the youngest wine region and its distinctive cool-climate qualities found only at the southernmost point of Africa.

After being awarded a Gold medal at the International Wine Challenge (IWC) in London, the IWC Co-Chair re-tasted all the gold medal winning wines to determine the outstanding wines by style. Thereafter, Land's End Cape Agulhas Sauvignon Blanc 2021 was awarded the IWC 2022 South African Sauvignon Blanc Trophy!

The rigorous IWC judging process assesses every wine ‘blind’ and judges each for its faithfulness to style, region and vintage.  Each IWC medal-winning wine is tasted on at least three separate occasions by a minimum of 2 panels of judges tasting together, and then tasted by 2 Co-Chairs to verify the panel results.  The IWC judging teams include experts and influencers from the international wine industry, commercial decision makers, buyers and MWs working in unison to find the highest quality wines each year from the 52 wine-producing countries represented in the competition.

In August last year it was also announced that our Land's End Cape Agulhas Sauvignon Blanc 2021 was awarded the Sauvignon Blanc Trophy at the Michelangelo International Wine & Spirits Awards. For the most competitive wine category in South Africa, these awards are worth celebrating!
