DTK Reds stand out at the 2023 Trophy Wine Show

In what is known as South Africa’s most stringent wine competition, this year saw a total of only 432 medals awarded to wines with 36% of all entries receiving none. 92 points were awarded to both Du Toitskloof Pinotage 2020, Du Toitskloof Shiraz 2020 and 91 points to Land’s End Cape Agulhas Syrah 2020.

The Trophy Wine Show, chaired by leading wine authority Michael Fridjhon since the inception of the show in 2002, is seen as South Africa's premier wine competition. A highly curated panel of three international judges and six local judges carefully sift (and sip) through close to 1000 wines with one mandate; to identify South Africa's best.

This year's show, brought to you by Investec, took place at Lord Charles Hotel from 15-18 May. International judges included Anne Krebiehl (MW), award-winning sommelier Benjamin Roffet and known as the world's most influential wine critic, Jancis Robinson (MW & OBE) with local judges to share their expertise.

We've curated a special mixed case of our Top performers. Enjoy a variety of 3 different awarded wines for a special price of R655. Make sure to purchase yours while stocks last.
