Quest Old Vine Chenin Blanc 2022 receives a Gold Medal at Decanter World Wine Awards

Quest Old Vine Chenin Blanc 2022 was awarded a gold medal with 95 points and one of only 30 gold medals awarded to South African entries in this year’s Decanter Awards. “...And of the nation’s 30 Golds, Breedekloof was awarded its second-ever Gold (last awarded in 2016) to Quest Wines, Old Vine Chenin Blanc 2022” - Decanter’s official press release by Olivia Mason.

Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA), now in its 20th year, has firmly established itself as the world's largest and most influential wine competition. This year, a record number of entries (north of 18,500) were judged by 236 top wine experts from around the globe. The DWWA is trusted internationally for its rigorous judging process, where judges taste wines "blind" and are only given the wine's region, style and price bracket as reference. After tasting individually, they then compare notes on the wine and reach consensus on each wine's medal. The caliber of judges is also outstanding, which is critically important for a wine competition of this size.

Following Quest Old Vine Chenin Blanc at 95 points, was Du Toitskloof Dimension 2018 with 93 points. A trio with 92 points; Land’s End Cape South Coast Sauvignon Blanc 2022, Land’s End Cape Agulhas Syrah 2020 and Du Toitskloof Old Vine Sauvignon Blanc 2022 and finally our Du Toitskloof Merlot 2020 with 91 points.
